Kurds building bridge to link region with Syria

Iraqi Kurdish authorities are constructing a bridge over the Tigris River to link their region with Syria, a statement said.
The statement by the Kurdish northern Province of Dahouk said the bridge was to facilitate movement of people and commodities between their region and Syria.
The bridge will replace the Peshkhabour crossing, which has so far regulated the flow of goods and people between the sides, mainly through small boats.
